Meet Demi

Demi’s commitment to serve her community runs deep. As the daughter of a 22 year former law enforcement officer, and the sister of a current police officer and combat veteran, Demi grew up with a clear understanding of the importance of public safety and a need to serve her community. She went on to attend Florida State University, and during her time in Tallahassee, she spent 6 years working for the Senate Sergeant at Arms office as the Page Program Coordinator. Her passion to serve her community grew as she oversaw the statewide program for high school students. She then went on to serve as campaign manager and legislative aide to President Pro Tempore Anitere Flores. Demi was elected to the Florida House in November 2020 and during her time in the House she has sponsored and passed monumental legislation to combat flooding and sea level rise from a statewide perspective. As a lifelong Floridian, she understands the importance of protecting our most beautiful treasures- our natural resources.

As the daughter and granddaughter of small business owners, she learned the value of hard work at an early age and knows the challenges small business owners face daily. That is why she knows the importance of ensuring our students are equipped with the knowledge to succeed financially and passed legislation to require all high school students take a personal financial literacy course to graduate. Demi currently resides in Coral Gables and works for a non-profit for adults with developmental disABILITIES. Demi is committed to making sure her community has the voice in Tallahassee that they deserve.

Demi and her husband, Kevin, reside in Coral Gables.
